US vs Canada vs Austrian 1 oz silver rounds
I have bought US Silver Eagles, Canadian 1 oz rounds, and Austrian 1 oz rounds.
I personally find the Austrian Philharmonics to be beautiful coins.
Does anyone have an opinion on which one of the above is better to invest in?

Well, all three have worldwide investor recognition, but the American ones have the advantage of being the most recognized here where it counts - where you will be trying to sell or trade them someday. The Canadian Maple Leafs have the advantage of being highly respected for purity and also having a high face value of $5, which gives you an automatic stop-loss. I don't see any unique advantage to the Austrian ones, but if they look good to you and you get a good price then more power to you - an ounce of silver is always an ounce of silver.

Do the Austrians have a higher face value than the US since they are denominated in Euros?

They are denominated as 1.5 Euros, so roughly $2.20 US - higher than the SAE, but lower than the $5 Maple Leaf.

I'm not big on buying any of them because I am a tightwad and don't like paying premiums on PM's. That said, I have bought a couple here and there because I do like them. I prefer the ML, but usually the premium is smaller on the ASE.

I would stick with Eagles if you want maximum liquidity. They sell like hotcakes if the ask price is proper. I personally also like Maples better. I hope we never need that $5 stop-loss for face value.

If the price of silver were ever to totally tank and it got close to $5 Canadian.. the Canadian government would probably just demonitze the coin. Didn't they do something like that with the $5 and $10 Olympic coins when the price of silver was really low?

I personally think the Philharmonics are the most beautiful. When it comes to liquidity I would choose SAE's, but then you cant beat the purity of the MaplesI'm a little indecisive, I know.
Ideally, I think you would want to put away at least one monster box of each.

I personally love the looks of the Austrian and Australian coins the best. I just can't justify the mark up on most of the coins unless I find one for a really good deal. A few years ago my coin dealer was selling me maple leafs for spot + $0.15 so I really stocked up on those. If prices were close though I would buy SAE's.

Bottom line - you can't go wrong with any of these. They are all legitimate and backed for purity by their respective governments. I would trust any such backing, except for Chinese Pandas.

I like them all,but if I had to chose one it would be the SML just because I'm in Canada.
I'd like the Philharmonic more if it had a reeded edge.

I've never heard of any Canadian silver being demonetized. In fact when the silver ML came out I remember the Mint making a big deal about the high face value being a stop loss - and a pretty good one because it was not far below the silver price per ounce. Heck even if they demonitized (and there would be no reason to do it) people would not realize it. You could spend it for groceries any time.
Local silver is good
I like both ASE And Maple. Today I bought 6 1968 Silver Canadian dollars, an think that is a good way to get in under Spot right now
