Stock Certificates

I am working on collecting the whole Dow 30 in physical stock certificates. I've got about 1/2 of them now. The difficulty is that the list changes from time to time. The other difficulty is that Intel stopped issuing certificates (but I got Intel already). Yes they are paper - but a physical stock certificate is more real then digital ownership that is taking over. Real stock certificates are disappearing fast.

Do you think they will be worth quite a bit one day?

I don't know for sure, but when they are gone they are gone. Some of the old certs have a pretty high value now. I also think they make great art work on the wall and great conversation pieces. Plus, I've used the 1 shares to sign up for DRIPs and then accumulate more shares. The live certs are also worth whatever the stock price is at the moment as a bare minimum.
