Bogus ads!
The first thing I got when I came to this site was a ad at the top stating that I have one inbox message. I clicked it, thinking it was related to this site. What I got was a scam ad suggesting I could make $5000 per month posting links on Google. I am already aware of this hoax and went to close it. I was then riddled with pop-ups and had to use my Task Manager to close them down, crashing Explorer. Is there anyway we can get rid of the ads at the top?

I don't know, I never click on ads. I think it is just part of the system of having a free forum. Generally, they are goldline ads and things like that from the google bot. Your messages are only in the top bar along with "home" "calender" etc. Sorry about that experience!

Also btw I do not make any money from the ads - it is just how we get the forum for free.

Re: Bogus ads!
Same thing happened to me when I was doing the registration process.
I was wondering how in the world someone could have sent me a message that quick, but I too figured it was something to do with the registration process. I didn't seem to get a lot of the pop up ads though that the rest are talking about. Just a banner type or print type ad along the top and I have learned to usually ignore those. Now that I know the other is bogus and know where to look for real messages, no problem at all.
Enjoy your coin searches, everyone.

Go into your profile and make sure that your email address is not public.

I was going to go over and knock on Emily's door and request that she stop the spam. Pleasanton is only 6 miles from my house.

Actually that is the one I am referring to, an optical illusion of a bikini or a lamp. Just make your eyes go blurry Hoard, and you will see the bikini in point-of-view just for you. Perhaps you already noted this and were joking. Perhaps not.

Yes.. I did notice it.. and was joking. My eyes are always going blurry from sorting too many coins.

Then you should have no trouble not seeing the lamp. I recommend you avoid the "light" and enjoy the other.

I can only see text ads like Cash for Gold and Custom coins. Must be they think Canadians don't like bikini's (or something)
